Executive Summary

Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation

The Dedication to Serve.
As the wholesale power provider for Arkansas’ 17 electric distribution cooperatives, Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) provides reliable, affordable energy that ultimately serves more than 1.2 million retail members across the state. Every decision made by the democratically elected board of directors is based on the present and long-term best interests of the electric cooperative members in Arkansas.

The Power to Deliver.
AECC and its member distribution electric cooperatives work to increase the quality of life across Arkansas. This work has resulted in AECC owning a diverse portfolio of generation and power purchase agreements to ensure the reliability and affordability of electricity that is so crucial to sustaining and growing communities. AECC has run-of-the-river hydropower, natural gas, coal, solar, biomass and wind resources in its generation mix. This power mix enables the Little Rock-based generation and transmission cooperative to remain one of the lowest-cost wholesale electricity cooperatives in the United States.
